Well located in the centre of Funchal, Barceló Funchal Oldtown provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. This might’ve been my favourite accommodation out of our whole trip (we stayed in 5 different accommodations including this one, as we were travelling all around Portugal). This is a fairly new hotel but it is very high end, has wonderful staff, and location is superior. One of our highlights was the rooftop bar/pool you see in the photos. View was absolutely stunning. It’s steps away from the pier/marina, main city centre and tons of restaurants around. We plan to return to Madeira and spend more days there and we’ll be definitely staying here again. Hope this place succeeds and will still be here when we come back in a few years! Also, the prices were such a steal for high end this hotel is - I’m assuming it’s because it’s a new hotel.

Location in the middle of everything, 15 min walk to downtown, Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, big pool and good facilities.

Conveniently set in Funchal, NEXT - by Savoy Signature provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel is located in a very nice area with shops and restaurants and pretty close to the center.

Ipinagmamalaki ang bar, shared lounge, at mga tanawin ng dagat, ang TURIM Santa Maria Hotel ay matatagpuan sa Funchal, 1.8 km mula sa Marina do Funchal. Comparing to other accommodations the cleanliness was unique. For New Year Eve it is the best choice as the roof terrace provides 360 degree panorama for the fireworks around the city.

Hotel Madeira is a 3-star hotel in Funchal's city centre, close to shops and restaurants. It offers free WiFi access. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. Good location. The room was clean and had a courtyard which was really, really nice. The noise isolation in the room was excelent. I did not hear any noise during the night. We used the pool and it was very nice as well.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools, one of which is heated in winter period. We enjoyed our stay there. Clean rooms, nice garden, tasty breakfast and excellent swimming pool and beach. Centre of the town can be easily reached on foot.

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. The room size and decor was the best. Breakfast and location was very good too! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overlooking sa Bay of Funchal, ang well-designed hotel na ito ay nagpo-provide ng luxury accommodation sa loob ng Santa Caterina Park. Everything was great. The staff were very friendly and courteous including housekeeping. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beds very comfortable. We loved the breakfast, pools, gym, and location. It is in walking distance to the main attractions, great restaurants, and public transportation. The room rate is very good as well.
