We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

If you want to see the Douro Valley - this is the place. The view from the balcony is amazing, also from the pool. The way to Pinhao village is the best of the area. I liked the village Celerios - so cute and quiet but with two cafes. There was also a great restaurant nearby (Quinta doPortal) with excellent food and wine. The beds were comfortable and we found the air-conditioning very helpful and the possibility to cool down in the great pool with this extremely hot weather we had. There was also some touristic and practical informtion on the area, some even in Polish! The palce is incredibly quiet and relaxing. There are some nice walking trails around to discover.

Lovely, small touches like fresh roses & orchids throughout the house. Port also supplied! Location sensational for views tho not recommended if u don’t have a car, as walking to town centre is not an option. Highly recommend tho as a lovely place to stay with all the amenities

Orchid was just so lovely. prepared a great breakfast in the morning. the view was out of this world. we sat in their patio surrounded by orange trees and flowers, while overlooking the Douro valley was perfect to eat our sandwich and bottle of Douro wine for a simple supper.

Service, food (dinner for a modest fee served with the other guests were perfect after a day of exploring or relaxation at the pool and tasting room. Breakfast and all the fresh local bounty, along with fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, was the best on our trip) hospitality, free flowing wine and port were truly exceptional. We had a room for ourselves and separate one for our teenage son. Both were large, comfortable, with well appointed bathrooms and views. This property and Miguel, the owner, blew away every expectation we had. The absolute best stay, and especially for the value, we had in our three weeks in Portugal. Cant wait to go back.

The whole property is just beautifull. So well mainteined and the interior of the room was very cozy and well thought. The private pool & yard for our kid to play was just awesome. And the VIEWS! You just can't get enough of it! We took the wine tour and it was really good, also very tasty wines. Had to buy couple bottles. Staff very friendly, and discreet.

The property is in a lovely village and is Rustic and charming. Try not to drive past the sign to there door as the road past it is very skinny. We stayed in one of the superior rooms as they were the only options available and it was very big and reasonably priced. The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable. We arrived quite late but we’re still offered soup and toasted sandwiches by the host. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

It was easy to find and a quick drive from the city. The communication with the hosts was always quick and efficient. We appreciated very much the possibility to have dinner at the hotel; the dinner was delicious and very affordable. The breakfast offered a lot of choice and was very good. The staff was friendly and very polite. Our room was super clean, quiet and comfortable. We regretted not staying longer.
