The room was wonderful: it was spacious and very nicely decorated; the bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom well equipped and it was all very clean and it looked brand new. We had a seaview room with great direct view on the beach/sea just across the street. The breakfast was a big treat: an extensive menu with also a daily special, all deliciously cooked by Jo. Good carpark at the back of the hotel. Very much recommended!

Situated in Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight, this award-winning, fully licensed, property offers free Wi-Fi in all areas and benefits from free private parking on site. We would definitely come here again! Gayle and Mark are wonderful hosts- there is nothing you could want for in the Sentry Mead- they have literally thought of EVERYTHING! The rooms are tastefully decorated, have mini-fridges, snacks and mugs for tea and bathrobes. Downstairs there is a bar room with drinks and snacks on the honour system and upstairs a Nespresso machine. The downstairs lounge is comfortable and inviting, as is the conservatory, terrace and garden area. You are a three-minute walk from the beach and trekking routes. There are restaurants and shops nearby as well as a bus stop, from where you can catch several different buses to explore the island. It is quiet and peaceful, but wonderfully accessible to tourist sights and other points of interest. And the breakfasts are outstanding!

We felt very welcomed here. You can pre-order dinner in the morning and the manager, Salma, is an incredibly good cook. Try out the sea bass and the curry, they‘re delicious! Everytime we sat outside in the garden we were amazed by the stunning view, overlooking Shanklin beach. Our room was at the very top and we‘ve never had a better view on the sea than here. The beds are also very comfortable. The Shanklin shops and the bus station are just a 5- mins walk away. Here you can catch buses to all the destinations on the island.
