Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Located in Takaka, 10 minutes' drive from the beach, The Rocks Chalets features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Eclectic little cluster of 4 chalets well maintained right outside of Tanaka (short 1 km walk on paved trail into town). Wonderful, welcoming owners who see after everything with great detail. Originally booked here because Kaiteriteri over the hill had nothing left, but would stay in Golden Bay again in heart beat. Nice drive to Totaranui on easy gravel road to take water taxi to Abel Tasman.

Woodland eco retreat is set in Parapara. The property has garden views. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful place, wonderful hosts, very comfortable house that meets all your needs. Toddlers loved feeding the sheep. Will definitely stay there again.
