This was the best experience I have had with accommodations during my month of travel. The staff were extremely helpful, the facilities were amazing, the room was luxurious and the location, perfect. I highly recommend Dona Maria. Also, get the breakfast, it's worth it!

The staff was always at the ready, friendly and efficient. Amenities galore - did not get to try the mini-theatre! The location could not have been better - walking distance to center and local beach.
The Exe Wellington hotel reflects the maritime character of Figueira da Foz in all its rooms.

Great room, amazing view, balcony.
Great staff, especially the lady from Spa - Elizabete Azevedo (if manager reads it, give this lady bonus or salary raise), thanks to her I am leaving good review about the Hotel, instead it could be the lowest.

I went in the off-season and did not go to the casino.
I went in the off-season and did not go to the casino. The incredibly large beach made for great walking. The boardwalk and the promenade were excellent for walking, too. Not a hilly town, per se. And I don't think i would care for high summer season. Uber is easily available and taking the train to / from Coimbra was inexpensive and easy.
I am a serious walker (average 6-8 miles a day) so I found the town easy to navigate.

We spent most of our time close to the Hotel and at Praia da Claridade/ Praia Alto do Viso.
Since it was just one night, we couldn't bring a lot of comments to this.
Nevertheless, we walked thru the night and we had dinner at Feito ao Bife, which is a very nice meat place, where you can eat different types of meat on the stone.
People from Figueira are very kind and warm.
They offer a lot of services and there is as well a Casino if you like to try your luck.
The city in a half season is quite easy to walk or drive.

Figueira da Foz seems to be a working town, not too much of a tourist town. Although it was not beach season and the beach was fog covered, it was very large and beautiful. We found some very good restaurants with traditional Portuguese food.

We loved Fig da Foz!
We loved Fig da Foz! A fairly quite resort town, just what we like! The only drawback is a pulp or paper mill located south of town. When the fog comes in so does the smell of the mill. We would consider living here if the mill is not a huge problem.

I was there in September and it was already dead.
I was there in September and it was already dead. Loads of things closed.
It's pleasant enough with good public amenities but there really isn't anything to do except explore the excellent beach.
Getting around without a car can be a challenge: the station is 25 minutes from the beach and although quite a few buses go to the market (much fewer to the beach) it's close to impossible to find out about them.
I hardly ever saw a taxi.
The best bit for me was lunch at the excellent Cafe Praca 18.

The Claridade Beach is the best place I have visited in Figueira da Foz, lots of seafood and restaurants near by. Jet7.5 near Praça do Forte is a great restaurant with live music! Worth to have a try. I quite enjoy walking by the beach, so all my visit was on foot.

Incredibly kind and friendly hosts, Cristina and Inés. We have the best impressions of the lovely town Figueira da Foz, opened up to us so soulful and cozy thanks to this place.
Cristina told us about the history of the hotel, gave us really useful recommendations and when checkout, made a photo of me and my husband (I always appreciate this opportunity).
Beautiful design, great breakfast, perfectly clean charming house where we would gladly come back. It feels like everything is made with love in this hotel.
The options offered for breakfast were plenty and amazing in quality, especially the croissants! The rooms smelled divine throughout the entire stay and the bath towels were super plush and huge which is always a bonus. The staff was super friendly and anticipated any needs we needed. The pool and surrounding area is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing little corner in Figueira da Foz. I’ll be back soon!
Wonderful view windows, but they were so dirty it was not possible to really enjoy the view. I understand it is winter time, but it had clearly been some time since they were clearned. We did not have an opportunity to use the pool. The room was very large, nice. The couch and chair were comfortable, but the ambience was cold and sterile, the room echoed from the emptiness. The room and hotel were very clean.
This is a lovely house with even lovelier staff. I was teleworking and needed a quiet place to work, so the staff let me check in 2 hours earlier and on the day of my departure let me use the breakfast area until the evening, brining me cookies and coffee to make sure I was comfortable. I really appreciated this flexibility.
I loved the design in the hotel and the attention to detail. The breakfast is amazing.
Natalie and Anthony were wonderful and friendly. They couldn't have been more accommodating during our stay. Their guesthouse and gardens are beautiful (we stayed in the outside self-contained accommodation) and felt like a little oasis. Favourite stay of our 2 week holiday in Portugal. Highly recommend. We'd come back to Figueira Da Foz just to stay there again.
I love this hotel! The staff is friendly. If you are ever there, book a massage with Sarah! She's phenomenal. There is another masseuse who I am sure is equally great, but I usually have my massage in the evening. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. I take a book and relax while I eat way too much! I even won some money at the casino next door!
What I really liked was the fact that it was something out of the norm. Instead of the normal hotel experience we decided to do a little "camping tour", with the most adorable puppy. Really fun, highly recommend it for camping enthusiasts, but with some precautions...
The location was very nice, and the staff also. They were really kind and also prestative. We needed to reserve late, and they're also very atentious with us with all the orientations to reach the hotel and to find the good places to eat and visit near.
Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely common areas. Room was a good size. Lovely amenities. Bed a little hard for my taste. Good breakfast served in the basement with no windows. Staff friendly and helpful. Wound definitely stay again.
Nice quiet location within 1km of the beach. Carla was a cheerful welcome and breakfast help. It was quiet, and although the rooms are not soundproof, the other guests and hotel settled down reasonably early. Summer may be different.
Nice hotel with a good view and good spa facilities. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and the towels were soft. My partner had a very good back and neck massage and Staff were also friendly and helpful.
Absolutely fantastic hotel, lovely staff, beautiful rooms, super clean, great new bathroom with fluffy towels, comfy bed, rich and delicious breakfast and convenient parking. Would definitely stay again!
Great location on seafront between hubs of activity! Nice rooms with sea views (I think from almost all rooms given layout and orientation of hotel. Great staff - very helpful front desk!
